On Friday, 13th May, 2022, G.D. Goenka Public School, Sitapur, organised its first Investiture Ceremony. 

The investiture ceremony signifies the belief and poise that the school consigns in the newly elected school council members. It also gives the students a learning experience of what elections are and how elections are executed. Twelve council members were formally bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school with their commitments, confidence and competence. Mr. Piyush Kumar Singh (C.O. City, Sitapur) graced the ceremony as the Chief_Guest. Other dignitaries of the program included Chairman Mr. Rajesh Narayan Saigal, Director Mr. Suryansh Saigal, other Members of Management and Principal Mrs. Trishla S. Shah. The function began with lighting of the auspicious lamp by the Chief Guest and Members of Management followed by a prayer and inaugural address by the Chief Guest. Savar Kumar and Vrinda Mahawar were conferred with the badges, flags and satchels of the Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. Raunak Agarwal and Prisha Mishra were elected as the Sports Captain and Sports Vice-Captain respectively. Other council members included Malvika Yadav (Captain) and Shaurya Vardhan (Vice-Captain) from Vivekanand House, Ipshita Trivedi (Captain) and Kaustubh Mani Srivastava (Vice-Captain) from Teresa House, Sakshi Pandey (Captain) and Hiya Kukreja (Vice-Captain) from Radhakrishnan House and Krishav Mahawar (Captain) and Vividha Balyan (Vice-Captain) from Tagore House. After taking an oath administered by the Principal the students took the Goenkan pledge followed by the Goenkan anthem. The ceremony was concluded with a vote of thanks and recital of the national anthem by everyone.
