Christmas is the season of hope, joy and love. The pre-primary learners of GD GOENKA PUBLIC SCHOOL, SITAPUR celebrated this festival with loads of cheer and great grandeur on Friday, December 23, 2022. The learners came dressed to school in colours of the Christmas season – red, white and green. The entire school wore a festive look with Christmas motifs like bells, a Christmas tree with decorative ornaments and streamers put up across the floors and classrooms.
A special Christmas story on the birth of Lord Jesus was conducted as a read aloud to explain the reason for celebrating Christamas and focus on the value of giving and sharing. The teachers explained a few facts about the legend of Santa Claus who is also known as Saint Nicholas or Father Christmas. A surprise visit by Santa to our pre- primary classrooms was an exciting and magical moment. Our classes were melodious with the singing of Christmas carols.
